Cyber Safety
The Office of Children's Safety Commissioner has designed a website with resources and information for parents and educators on ways to keep children safe when they are online. The website is user friendly and has a link to report cyberbullying to the Australian Government. The iParent section is where parents can learn about the digital environment and keep updated on their children's technology use. Parents can find guidance for using safety settings on their family's web-connected devices, tips for choosing movies and games and strategies for keeping young people safe online. Parent's Guide to Online Safety booklets have been ordered for each family in the school. This booklet covers a number of key online safety issues and offers practical information and advice for children of all ages. Topics covered include; cyberbullying, social networking, unwanted contact, inappropriate content and online safeguards.
