“Growing up in a small beach town in the 80s, Budgewoi Public gave me every chance to play all the sports that I loved.

The school was more than encouraging, not just to me but other kids as well. Cricket in the nets, athletic carnivals, soccer games, the padel bat matches in the schoolyard all reinforced that I already knew, that if I had a chance to chase a dream through sport, then I’d give it everything I’ve got. I was able to do that through winning the gold medal at the Sydney Paralympics in so many ways was born at Budgewoi Public School.”
